Investment Strategy
The Funds aim for long-term capital appreciation by investing in equity securities of companies in various sectors, including telecommunications, media, technology, consumer, healthcare, industrials, financial services, and related sectors. They employ a value-oriented approach, relying on fundamental stock research and selection through a disciplined upside/downside analysis. The Funds prioritize minimizing market and systemic risks by seeking conservative net beta exposure through alpha generative long and short positions.
The Funds primarily invest in common stocks and may hold non-diversified, concentrated portfolios. They utilize long and short positions, margin borrowing, derivatives, and other instruments to enhance capital appreciation. Depending on market conditions and opportunities, the Funds may focus on specific sectors or explore investments in unrelated sectors. They also employ hedging techniques like currency hedging, short sales, and options writing to manage risk. The Opportunities Funds focus on high-conviction investments made by the Flagship Funds.
