Business Description
Fuller & Thaler Asset Management, Inc. ("FullerThaler") was organized as a California corporation in April 1993. It has been registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser since May 1993. FullerThaler is 100% owned by employees. Actual control and management of FullerThaler is effected solely through a management group comprised of the senior partners of FullerThaler (the “Management Group”). The Management Group’s primary function is to oversee the business affairs and day-to-day operations of FullerThaler.
Investment Strategy
FullerThaler's investment strategies primarily focus on exploiting market inefficiencies using insights from behavioral finance. They primarily invest in US-listed companies, taking long-only positions in stocks they believe are undervalued based on their analysis. FullerThaler applies principles of behavioral finance, focusing on markers of under- and over-reaction, combined with measures of expectations and valuation to select long positions. Their strategies may employ futures, ETFs, and leverage. FullerThaler offers a variety of U.S. equity strategies, primarily behavioral-based, as opposed to quantitative or traditional fundamental strategies. They work with clients to tailor investment strategies to meet individual needs, such as imposing restrictions on investments or expanding the universe of securities. One example of their strategies is the Behavioral Small-Cap Growth, which invests in equities of growth-oriented U.S. companies with market capitalizations generally in the lowest 10% of the US.
