Business Description
As of December 31, 2024, the Firm managed $4,561,207,454 on a discretionary basis on behalf of 25 clients. The Firm engages in a general investment advisory business emphasizing U.S. and International equity management using a systematic approach to pursue certain investment strategies with the general objective of maximizing total returns subject to each client’s risk profile and investment guidelines.
In addition to those Strategies the firm also creates tailored separate account portfolios to meet specific clients’ needs. These custom strategies will not necessarily be marketed to other prospective clients. While the firm primarily manages separate accounts for institutional clients, they have sponsored and manage certain private investment funds, each formed to invest principally in securities using one of the Strategies.
Investment Strategy
GlobeFlex manages long-only equity portfolios, buying and selling stocks of companies organized or conducting significant business in markets like the U.S., non-U.S. developed, emerging, or frontier markets. They typically trade on the primary stock exchange or over-the-counter market of the issuer's country. Strategies are defined by the country or countries invested in, the capitalization group emphasized, and any focus on growth companies.
The universe of investment opportunities is based on independent equity indexes like those from MSCI, S&P, or FTSE Russell. Within this universe, each stock's attractiveness is evaluated through a comprehensive analysis of the issuing company's fundamentals, seeking long-term value, growth potential, and short-term success. Strategy-specific constraints related to company size, country, sector, liquidity, and position size are programmed into the portfolio construction process to enhance stock selection, reduce systematic risks, emphasize alpha, and create diversified portfolios that are fully invested.
