Business Description
As an investment adviser, the firm provides portfolio management services to its Clients. Their responsibilities include sourcing potential investments, conducting research and due diligence, analyzing investment opportunities, structuring investments, and monitoring investments on behalf of their Clients. The firm generates all of its advisory revenues from these investment advisory services. The firm provides investment advisory services to institutional managed accounts and private investment funds offered to high net worth financially sophisticated individual and institutional investors. These services are generally intended for investors who would qualify as a “qualified purchaser” including insurance companies, endowments, trusts and estates, governmental agencies, other financially sophisticated institutional and individual investors and commingled investment vehicles. The firm also serves as a sub-adviser to Registered Funds or to UCITS Funds and as a collateral manager to certain CLOs.
Investment Strategy
The Adviser's investment approach generally draws on fundamental bottom-up credit analysis, credit trading and execution capabilities, work-out and restructuring expertise, risk management discipline, a network of business relationships, customization of tailored credit solutions, asset management experience, securitization and structuring expertise, a significant history of investing and managing capital over multiple economic cycles, historical utilization of low levels of leverage, and a commitment to best-in-class infrastructure and financial controls. The Adviser has the flexibility and expertise to invest anywhere in the capital structure, including securities, loans, and structured products. However, in times of unusual or adverse conditions, for temporary defensive purposes, the Adviser is permitted to invest Clients outside the scope of their principal investment focus, without limit in money market and other investments, and may not invest in accordance with their investment objective or investment strategies. The market judgment and discretion of the Adviser’s personnel are fundamental to the implementation of many of the strategies they implement on behalf of Clients.
