Investment Strategy
Park Presidio employs various investment strategies for its funds, including the Long-Short Funds and the Sub-Advised Funds. For the Long-Short Funds, there are no limits on the types of securities or commodities selected, the concentration of investments, or the amount of leverage used. Park Presidio may use any trading or investment techniques, adapting to market conditions and trends as deemed appropriate. The firm's short strategy generally represents the inverse of its long strategy, targeting situations with an unsustainably positive bias and seeking short investments with a definable catalyst for convergence of market and intrinsic values.
The Short-Only Sub-Advised Funds pursue a short-only strategy derived from certain positions of the Long-Short Funds. This strategy seeks situations that Park Presidio believes involve an unsustainably positive bias regarding a specific investment opportunity’s prospects, aiming for short investments with a definable catalyst for convergence of market and intrinsic values. Additionally, Park Presidio uses portfolio hedges, including currency forwards and other derivatives, to supplement short investments and hedge position-level risk factors.
