The portfolio purchases readily marketable securities of large U.S. companies deemed to have high profitability relative to others. A flexible trading approach manages turnover and transaction costs. The portfolio may use futures and options to adjust equity market exposure and may lend securities to generate income. At least 80% of net assets are invested in U.S. companies (generally those in the highest 90% of market capitalization or larger than the 1000th largest).
