Fund Objective:
The International Small Companies Portfolio seeks long-term capital appreciation.
Investment Strategy:
The International Small Companies Portfolio seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 80% of its net assets in common stocks, preferred stocks, rights, and warrants issued by small companies based outside the U.S. It may also invest in securities convertible into such securities, investment companies with similar holdings, and securities of small U.S. companies with significant foreign revenue (though under 15% of total assets). The portfolio may use equity derivative securities for exposure to emerging markets.
