Springs Industries, Inc (SMI)

The principal activities of Springs Industries are the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of textile and non textile home furnishing products which include sheets, pillows, pillowcases, bedspreads, comforters, mattress pads, baby bedding and infant apparel, towels, shower curtains, bath and accent rugs, other bath fashion accessories, over-the-counter home-sewing fabrics, drapery hardware, and hard and soft decorative window fashions. The Group acquired certain assets and operations of the Mexican maquiladora in 2000. The Group makes private-label items for Wal-Mart and Target and licensed brands such as Disney and John Deere. The Group sells through department stores, mass retailers, catalogs and outlet stores.
