Sola International, Inc (SOL)

Sola International, Inc.'s principal activity is to design, manufacture and distribute a broad range of plastic and glass eyeglass lenses. The value-added products manufactured by the Group include products with advanced design characteristics, lens coatings and treatments and thin and light weight materials. The coatings and treatments include anti-scratch coatings, anti-reflective coatings and photochromic treatments. The spectacle lens products are marketed globally under the brands 'SOLA' and 'American Optical'. At 31-03-2002, the Group operates four primary and six specialised manufacturing facilities worldwide and also has sales offices in 28 countries. The products are marketed in North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and South America. On 03-Apr-2003, the Group acquired Siouxland Ophthalmic Inc and Kansas City Ophthalmics LLC.
