SPDR Metals & Mining ETF (XME)

The SPDR S&P Metals & Mining ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the metals and mining segment of a U.S. total market composite index.

The fund uses a sampling strategy to track the performance of the S&P Metals & Mining Select Industry Index. Instead of purchasing all the securities in the index, the fund purchases a subset of securities in an effort to hold a portfolio with generally the same risk and return characteristics of the index. The quantity of holdings in the fund is based on factors such as the asset size of the fund.
