State Street SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP)

The State Street SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the oil and gas exploration and production segment of a U.S. total market composite index.

The Fund's principal investment strategy is to track the performance of the S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production Select Industry Index (the “Index”). It employs a sampling strategy, which means it is not required to purchase all of the securities in the Index. Under normal market conditions, the Fund generally invests substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the Index. In seeking to track the Index, the Fund may also invest in equity securities not included in the Index, as well as cash, cash equivalents, or money market instruments. The goal is to achieve a high degree of correlation with the Index.
